Other people may have already made mention to the fact that Butler had two great days off...Snow Days kick ass I must say. I did very little outside the first day...I studied thinking we'd have class wednesday...we didn't. I finished the book I've been reading since the first week of the semester...the snow day break was enough time to concentrate on Battle Royale and not on any kind of school work. I must say...I have both the book and the movie, both are excellent and I advise either buying the movie on or finding the book at your local library...if they have it. I started my next read, Darkly Dreaming Dexter. If any of you have seen the show Dexter on Showtime, it's based on that novel...the show is good and the novel is moving at a quick pace. I have another book coming in the mail, The Dante Club. It sounded very interesting, a novel like the movie Se7en, except all the murders and acts are based around the punishments of Dante's Inferno...which is also a good read if you like poetry. Speaking of poetry, I also bought a copy of Paradise Lost, the fall from grace, which is a long ass poem about the war in heaven and Adam and Eve's exile from Eden. A very good read. I got a couple other reads lined up after Darkly Dreaming Dexter and the Dante Club...I got the Godfather's Revenge in the mail and bought the Godfather and the Godfather's Return, just so I won't be lost...I also ordered a copy of Red Dragon...the first appearance of Hannibal Lector.

I completely went on a tangent there, sorry. I normally use the title of the post to explain a current event or happening in my life. Well, the event just happened to transpire on Valentine's Day. I got a friend I liked two very nice cards...and had a long debate in my head about whether or not I should give them to her. I got ballsy and even bought her three carnations to go along with the card. I went to put them in her mailbox, but she was there...and what was going through my head were the two following things:
  1. You are about to do the a very romantic thing...go for it!!!
  2. You are about to make one of the biggest mistakes you've ever made in your life, good luck, jackass.
Well, the look on her face was priceless, mainly because she hates it when people get her stuff, but I got her flowers and she thought that was cute...I guess it was a job well done...but then again, I got a thank you, only a thank hug, or anything. Success? You decide.
